We're looking for writers who can tell stories about people using bitcoin in their daily lives. If we publish your story, we'll pay you $200 USD.
We’re looking for short articles that describe how real people are using bitcoin in their daily lives. We’re not looking for articles about how bitcoin works or why people should start using bitcoin.
For example, here are a few articles that we wrote ourselves:

Note that the person (not bitcoin) is always the hero of each story and that we use direct quotes as much as possible. Also, note that these articles are educational and inspirational without being direct marketing pitches for Azteco.
First up, we want to encourage writers from all over the world to create and share stories about how real people in their local communities are using bitcoin. We want to nurture and reward the next generation of writers, not replace them with generative AI tools. We also want writers to focus on creating human stories that will inspire and educate other people.
Next up, we want people from all over the world to read and share stories about how real people are using bitcoin in their daily lives. We want to change the narrative from “bitcoin is an investment asset” to “bitcoin is for everyday spending, saving, and sending”. We want more people to read about how bitcoin changes lives, not how bitcoin technology works.

First, please read our editorial guidelines very carefully (see below). We’re looking for authentic, local voices but we also want to make sure that every article follows the same set of guidelines. We also need to make sure that every article meets our quality standards.
Next, submit a short pitch for your article idea using our online formLink to: https://forms.gle/qRVPdu8h9MmtrGm39. We’ll review your pitch and get back to you within a week or two. We might ask for more information or make suggestions before we give you approval to start writing the article.
Once you’ve written the article and taken your photographs, send them to us for review. If everything meets our guidelines and standards, we’ll publish your article on our website and share it on our social media channels. We’ll also acknowledge you as the author and send you an Azteco bitcoin voucher worth $200 USD.

Articles should be 500-800 words in length and should include 4-5 supporting photographs.
Articles and photographs should be your own original work. We don’t want articles or photographs that have been created by generative AI tools.

You will need to complete a release formLink to: https://azte.co/photography-release for your photographs so that we have legal permission to use them with your article.
Articles should ideally have a title and structure that follows a standard pattern: "How [name] in [country] uses bitcoin to [do something useful]".
For example:
"How [name] in [country] uses bitcoin to pay for [something]"
"How [name] in [country] uses bitcoin to save for [something]"
"How [name] in [country] uses bitcoin to support their family in [country]"

Articles should ideally be structured into three clear sections, with a direct quote acting as the subtitle for each section.
